PridePads Africa Launches Free Period Pantry
PridePads Africa is proud to announce the grand opening of its new Free Period Pantry located in front of the YWCA Boulder County!
Inspired by the Little Free Library model, the pantry will run on a simple principle: “Take what you need — with pride.” The period pantry will provide menstrual products like pads, tampons, and more, for anyone in need, anytime. Community members can donate products directly to the pantry to keep the shelves stocked, ensuring ongoing access for those who need it most.
Founded in Boulder in 2019, PridePads Africa manufactures biodegradable menstrual pads and provides menstrual health education in northern Cameroon. This local partnership brings their global mission home—promoting dignity, sustainability, and community care.

The ribbon-cutting celebration was held on Monday, November 3rd, at YWCA Boulder County to help us kick off this initiative for period equity.
