Merci Beaucoup from Cameroon

Merci Beaucoup from Cameroon

We hope you are having a wonderful holiday season!

As you know, PridePads Africa produces biodegradable menstrual pads and provides menstrual health education seminars at local schools and community groups in Ngaoundéré, Cameroon. Our Ngaoundéré-based team is crucial to the success of PridePads, and we are eternally grateful for their dedication to our mission.

In honor of our end of year campaign, Period Power: Supporting Girls’ Education with Sustainable Menstruation, our Ngaoundéré-based Operations Manager Madame Jaika Kongnyuy has prepared a message of gratitude for our generous community:

It is really mind blowing and a wonderful and singular pleasure to have donors of your humanitarian magnitude. It goes without a doubt that one hand cannot tie a bundle and that many hands do lighter and faster work.

We know very well that we have our able Board Members, who were and are our “willing horses” but we cannot ride them to death.

We give thanks to God Almighty for giving you people hearts of saving philanthropists to come to the ready assistance of PridePads Africa Ngaoundéré.

This charitable gesture will go a long way to continue assisting girls to be able to stay in schools during their periods because there is no future at all without education.

Thus, with education, the tomorrow of the young girl is guaranteed as follows:

She will be able to take care of herself, her kids and assist her spouse, her parents as well. She will not be considered as a liability.

She will no longer be forced into early marriage, which is always a fiasco.

Her job will be her first husband.

With education she will also have a powerful reliable voice in society, to contribute to nation building.

While schooling, the parents will not have the opportunity to use the girls for child abuses, like hawking, child labor, house helps, etc. that usually expose them to prostitution, rape, stealing, drug abuse, and what have you.

With steady education, girls are empowered to face the future with confidence.

We pray that God Almighty should reward you people abundantly and continue touching your generous hearts to remember the needy girls through PridePads Africa Ngaoundéré year in year out.

We are humbled by the hard work and dedication of our Cameroonian team as they destigmatize menstruation, one student at a time.

Together, we can help break the barriers of stigma and period poverty - ensuring that menstruation is never a barrier to education or opportunity.

Thank you for your support of PridePads Africa!

With heartfelt appreciation,

PridePads Africa Operations Manager Madame Jaika Kongnyuy and the US Board of Directors
