March Newsletter 2023

Dear Friends of PridePads Africa,
International Women’s Day - Ngaoundere, Cameroon
Our PridePads team in Ngaoundéré participated in the International Women’s Day March for the second year in a row! The march honored local groups and individuals who have been instrumental in empowering Cameroonian women. Although our team did not march this year, they were cheering everyone on from the stands! After the ceremony, the team returned to our headquarters and had a celebratory meal. We are grateful to our team for standing with all women and supporting young girls to be the next generation of leaders.
Prior to Wednesday’s festivities, the PridePads team visited the Ngaoundéré 3 Council and met with the Regional Delegation for Women and the Family. They emphasized the importance of menstrual health education in addition to standard school education, especially for girls and young women.
New PridePads Leadership - USA
After two wonderful years as Executive Director, Marisa Kellogg is delighted to transition to the role of Board President of PridePads Africa. She is grateful for the support and dedication the PridePads community has shown these last few years, and is eager to continue the work de-stigmatizing menstruation, advocating for girls’ educational attainment and supporting women’s livelihood empowerment in Cameroon.
PridePads is very proud to introduce the new Executive Director, Elizabeth Cleveland! Having first joined PridePads in 2021 as a volunteer, Elizabeth is honored to have served on the Board of Directors for a year and a half. She looks forward to continuing to help PridePads empower women and girls to realize their full human rights and potential in her new role as Executive Director.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support PridePads Africa. We could not continue this important work without you. Help us continue to support young girls and women in Cameroon and the continuation of learning, by donating to PridePads Africa today. Donate Here.
