Happy International Women’s Day!
On March 8, we join people around the world in honoring the achievements, resilience, and leadership of women. This year’s theme — “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL women and girls.” — reminds us that equality is not just a goal, it’s a responsibility we all share.
At PridePads Africa, we live this commitment each day. We are proud to be a women-led organization, with three of our four co-founders, eight of our ten current Board Members, eight of our eleven employees in Cameroon, and our Executive Director all being women. Together, we champion the right of every girl to manage her menstrual health with dignity, to stay in school, and to pursue her dreams free from stigma and limitation.
Under the leadership of Madame Jaika Kongnyuy, our Operations Manager in Cameroon, PridePads Africa continues to expand its impact. In 2025 alone, we reached more than 10,000 students and community members through menstrual health education and distributed thousands of environmentally friendly menstrual pad packs — keeping girls in school all month, every month.
Madame Jaika’s belief guides our mission: “If you educate a girl, you educate the whole nation.”
This International Women’s Day, we ask you to take action for rights and justice by investing in girls’ education and health. A donation of $24 provides one student with a year’s supply of menstrual pads — a small act that creates lasting change.
