Donor Newsletter August, 2021
As the end of summer nears, back to school is right around the corner and it's important to remember that not all youth around the world are gifted with the opportunity to stay in school. When young girls in Africa reach the time in their lives when they get their period, many must leave school and stay at home because they are without the menstruation resources that allows them to lead their lives as others do.
60% of girls in rural Africa miss up to 5 days of school per month from the onset of menstruation, resulting in a large percentage dropping out of school once they reach puberty. Having access to resources can help these young girls stay in school and it just takes a small donation of $24 to help one girl for a year. Help celebrate the youth and the continuation of learning, by donating to PridePads Africa. Donate Here
At PridePads, we celebrate youth around the world, especially young women. We’re pleased to share with you a poem about menstruation, written by a student at Grace Bilingual High School in Cameroon. Click to listen to the beautiful poem.
